Corporate Bowls Competitions

2005 saw one of the most exciting new concepts introduced to Ipswich United Services Club with the introduction of Corporate Bowls. Corporate Bowls has allowed local businesses to compete against each other in a friendly, relaxing environment and gives non-bowlers a chance to play the sport of lawn bowls.

Teams come from government departments, many Ipswich City Council departments, auto stores, banks, real estate agencies, manufacturing companies, hardware stores and hairdressers.

The games are played on a Tuesday night starting at 6pm and played for an 8 week season with each team playing a different team weekly. The Club provides all equipment needed and club members are available to give tips on how to play lawn bowls, but it will not take long for you to become an expert.

You need four players per team and they do not have to be the same four each week. Not all have to work at your business, they can come from family, partners, or friends.

The cost is $25 nomination fee per team, which gives you 4 social memberships to Ipswich United Services Club. Then it is $5 per player each night. On the last night there will be a free sausages sizzle and presentation of the corporate shield to the winning company.
